Welcome to Red Loam Magazine! We’re happy to have you. We are a digital magazine based in Boise, ID, that highlights and amplifies the voices of People of Color and Black liberation through writing, illustration, and photography.
This magazine has been in the works for years. From a kid who strived for community in middle school, she grew herself a garden. A garden of color, a garden of culture, a garden of renewal. This birthed Red Loam.
There were many iterations of RLM, but it finally established itself as a place for POCs to truly live, connect, and breathe without prerequisites.
I take pride in myself, my team, and our work. To be able to keep our heads held high is something that I’m so grateful for. If you are poc and you are reading this: take pride in your work. No one else will, and the white world won’t let you. So take it by the hand and show them what’s up!
The magazine takes all shapes and forms, covering topics from politics and history, to pop culture and local art. All of it needs to be heard. All of it deserves to be amplified.
Learn more about us, read our articles, sign up to be on our community calendar, and most importantly – Happy Pride!
Be Blessed,
